This month, rumours surfaced that Luis Sinisterra, who is now on loan at Bournemouth, would return to Leeds United in January. Phil Hay offered his thoughts on the matter.

As the final player to leave Elland Road under the summer relegation loan clause, Sinisterra, 24, bid farewell to Leeds. such as Brenden Aaronson, Max Wober, Diego Llorente, Robin Koch, and Marc Roca.

The Colombian player, who only managed 22 appearances the previous season due to injuries, played for Leeds four times before joining Bournemouth this season. Out of those 26, he scored eight goals.

His nine games for Bournemouth have been limited by injury, which has also been a factor. Thus far, he has managed to score one goal and provide one assist. Sinisterra might be able to get out of Bournemouth and get back to Elland Road.

When questioned about the reports on The Square Ball, Hay said that Bournemouth was making noise about Sinisterra staying in January. In the unlikely event that he returns, he is stuck here.

Nobody seems to believe Sinisterra will return from the Bournemouth end. As you would have known from speaking with Angus Kinnear, there is resentment stemming from how things concluded in the summer.

Phil Hay talks about reports. Perhaps Luis Sinisterra will go back to Leeds

It would come as a shock. Surprising for two reasons: first, that Sinisterra would cancel his Bournemouth loan following such a harsh departure; second, that Tyler Adams and Angus Kinnear would not be receiving Christmas cards.

Second, though, Sinisterra would have to play for Leeds if he were to make a comeback. A player’s season is limited to playing for two clubs. His two alternatives are Bournemouth and Leeds, where he has played.

Therefore, it is highly likely that Sinisterra stays at Bournemouth in January until his future is decided upon in the summer. It remains to be seen whether Leeds gives him another chance.
