James Tarkowski thinks that the passion shared between Leeds United and Everton followers is what unites them.

Tarkowski is in his second season as an Everton player, and considering the recent relegation struggles the two teams have experienced, he will have a good grasp of both groups of supporters.

On May’s last day, Everton narrowly defeated both Leicester City and Leeds to remain in the Premier League, but it hasn’t stopped Elland Road from being completely booked every week.

When a player signs with Leeds, they frequently cite the club’s supporters as a major motivator. Georginio Rutter revealed in a recent interview that Illan Meslier told him about the team’s “crazyness” before he left Hoffenheim.

Speaking on the most recent edition of Ben Foster’s Fozcast, Everton defender Tarkowski emphasised how Leeds fans view the game differently from other supporters.

Tarkowski commends Leeds fans

“I believe that for some clubs and fan bases, it truly feels like their lives,” he remarked. While I have nothing against other teams, Everton supporters consider their team to be their life. At other clubs, it’s the same.

Leeds in addition to other major clubs. Their entire existence revolves around that weekend game, which has the power to make or break the week before the next one.

Since taking over as Leeds manager, Daniel Farke has often expressed gratitude to the team’s supporters, and it is evident that he has tried his hardest to win them over after a difficult few years.

In a recent interview, Willy Gnonto was also asked to sum up the club in three words. He chose “love, passion, and craziness.”

It’s encouraging to hear a player from the other team acknowledge the dedication Leeds supporters have for their team, and maybe this will lead to their return to Premier League action.
