Football’s busiest season is upon us, and 23 players stand to lose a Boxing Day suspension if they are yellow-carded this weekend.

In the latest meeting between the bitter rivals, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion, championship outsiders Aston Villa hosted Sheffield United on Thursday night. Sadly, Matty Cash and Jayden Bogle, who have both received five bookings this season and are causing their Fantasy Premier League managers a great deal of difficulty, will not be present for the commotion on Boxing Day.

Newcastle United play Nottingham Forest in the early game after easily defeating an in-form Fulham side last Saturday. Sheffield United welcome Luton Town in a crucial bottom-of-the-table battle, while Bournemouth visit Fulham, Burnley host Liverpool at 5:30pm, and Manchester United face another tough test against Aston Villa at 8pm.

Wednesday night’s late kick-offs include Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace, Brentford vs. Wolves, and Everton vs. Manchester City. Before Brighton vs. Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal vs. West Ham finish out the season’s most hectic matchday.

Those players who could enjoy a relaxing Christmas without having to get up early on Boxing Day or the following Wednesday and Thursday are:

Rayan Ait-Nouri – Wolverhampton Wanderers

Kristoffer Ajer – Brentford

Joelinton – Newcastle United

Vladimir Coufal – West Ham United

Abdoulaye Doucoure – Everton

Kai Havertz – Arsenal

Jamaal Lascelles – Newcastle United

Cole Palmer – Chelsea

Antonee Robinson – Fulham

Darwin Nunez – Liverpool

Cristian Romero – Tottenham Hotspur

Pape Matar Sarr – Tottenham Hotspur
