Lewis Miley was chastised by Alan Shearer for going off during a corner, which allowed Luton to score and defeat Newcastle. Shearer was not happy with the way the Kenilworth Road set-piece was defended during the game.

Newcastle’s performance against Luton was hampered by a number of problems, with a pivotal moment giving the Hatters a first-half lead and confidence boost. Lewis Miley was withdrawn after 37 minutes on Saturday as Eddie Howe attempted to change tactics, which may have frustrated him despite his normally excellent contributions since joining the team.

Miley, who is only 17 years old, made a mistake that resulted in the goal, but his inexperience is significant. Newcastle’s injury problems are the reason he is on the pitch. Shearer was upset with Newcastle’s overall performance against Luton, even though he did point the finger at Miley’s defence for Luton’s goal.

“To win in any football match, you must have the desire and will to match your opponent’s energy. This is especially true if you’re heading to Luton, where they’re playing for their captain.

Shearer cried out in his Match of the Day analysis, “This is not acceptable, Newcastle lose the first tackle, lose the second tackle, and Luton were brilliant at that.”

This episode serves as further evidence that Newcastle needs to find a way to add to their roster in January. Regardless of how promising a 17-year-old is, no team should be starting an inexperienced player in the starting lineup.
