Despite suffering a hamstring injury against Everton, Cristian Romero is anticipated to be ready for Thursday’s match against Brighton, according to The Standard.

Eric Dier took Romero’s place at halftime during Saturday’s match against the Toffees, and Tottenham held on for a 2-1 victory in spite of playing second best for much of the second half.

Given that Micky van de Ven was already sidelined due to injury, Spurs supporters may have been concerned when they seen Romero sitting on the bench during the second period with an ice pack applied to his right leg.

After the match, the center defender gave a positive update on Instagram, stating that he “will recover quickly.”

Romero is anticipated to play against Brighton.

The vice captain of the Spurs is reportedly expected to recuperate in time for Thursday’s trip to the Amex Stadium, according to The Standard.

According to the source, the 25-year-old is currently “considered likely” to start alongside Ben Davies against the Seagulls as Spurs attempt to win four straight games.

After serving his one-match suspension against Everton, Destiny Udogie is also eligible against selection against Roberto Di Zerbi’s team.
