Rodrigo Bentancur, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, looks to be making a hopeful recovery after suffering a number of setbacks because of injuries.

After a protracted injury that lasted from February to November, the Uruguayan football player had another setback when he was out for several weeks due to an ankle injury he received after a Matty Cash tackle during his first start back.

Bentancur’s wife has been posting on Instagram recently, implying that he is going back to training.

This comes after manager Ange declared in January that he might make a comeback.

Spurs, who are preparing for a crucial game against Manchester United on January 14, are greatly encouraged by the news.

Bentancur’s comeback is welcome news for Spurs, who will be without important players Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma in January because of the AFCON.

Positive news today pertaining to the possible signing of Dragusin and the negotiations with Chelsea for Gallagher also suggest that Spurs are serious about strengthening their roster.

With key players back and possible additions, Tottenham is aiming for a strong run at the top four.
