Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly spoken with Jota, a winger for Al Ittihad, and is now optimistic about landing a transfer in January.

Spurs are making swift progress as the January transfer window approaches, which is only a few hours away.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham is now pursuing a £26 million deal for Radu Dragusin, the defender for Genoa.

Dragusin would provide depth at center defense by competing with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Although Tottenham still has to sign players elsewhere, Ange Postecoglou may now be able to recruit one of his former teammates.

Tottenham Hotspur is certain to acquire Jota.

Postecoglou might have his eye on another winger, as Jota of Al Ittihad has been linked to the team for several months.

Jota had a stellar career at Celtic under Postecoglou, amassing 28 goals and 26 assists in 83 games.

In the summer, Al Ittihad made a surprise move to sign Jota for £25 million, but the player hasn’t settled in the Middle East and may go on loan.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham has now spoken with Jota about moving to North London in January.

Additionally, according to 90min, Tottenham is now “confident” in bringing Jota in on loan, with the option to buy him out at the end of the year.

Given that Tottenham isn’t anticipated to spend a lot of money in January, Jota’s loan arrangement makes sense given the amount spent on Dragusin.

In order to get his career back on track, the Portuguese winger would undoubtedly prefer to work under Postecoglou once more, as he is already familiar with his tactics.

Jota, who Ally McCoist has called a “genius,” can add a little magic in the closing third, and a loan agreement at least enables Tottenham and Postecoglou to assess his Premier League acumen.

Jota’s ability to contribute in the Premier League is in doubt after her impressive performance in Scotland and her subsequent lackluster performance in Saudi Arabia.

Nevertheless, with this deal now appearing imminent ahead of the January window, Postecoglou may be certain that he can get the best out of Jota.
