Under Ange Postecoglou’s tutelage, Jamie Donley, a young player for Tottenham Hotspur, might be a player to watch in 2024.

The next great talent to come out of Tottenham’s academy is Jamie Donley.

Early in December, the 18-year-old earned his Premier League debut at Manchester City. He also played a few minutes against Newcastle United.

This season, Donley has performed admirably for Tottenham’s Under-21 team, contributing to 18 goals in just 12 games.

Ange Postecoglou has already made hints that, if he keeps up his diligent effort in the background, Donley might soon get his chance.

And in our opinion, the upcoming 12 months may prove to be the year when the Spurs academy graduate establishes himself in the top flight of England.

Donley might blow up at Spurs in 2024.

When James Maddison returned from his ankle injury against Chelsea in November, Spurs would be hoping to have him back this month.

In the Englishman’s absence, Postecoglou has changed up his midfield, with Dejan Kulusevski filling in for Maddison.

Donley, however, has shown he is capable of doing similarly for Tottenham’s youth teams, frequently filling in as an advanced midfielder.

His 83 outings for the academy teams have seen him score 36 goals and dish out 27 assists, which amply supports that hypothesis.

Of course, when Donley ever gets the chance to contribute for the Spurs, it will be a major step up.

However, he appears to have the necessary skill to have a significant influence at Tottenham, based on his performances at every level he has played at thus far.

Donley has, in fact, already scored five goals for England’s Under-19 team in as many games.

Postecoglou’s reluctance to insert Donley into the starting lineup too soon makes sense. But, we believe the Spurs rookie won’t let us down if he has a genuine chance to show off his skills.
