Yesterday’s FA Cup match saw West Ham and Bristol City draw, and following the match, David Moyes said some very odd things about Danny Ings.

After the first 75 minutes of yesterday’s FA Cup match between West Ham and Bristol City, David Moyes introduced Danny Ings from the bench.

When the Hammers striker was brought in against the Robins, he accomplished nothing noteworthy at all.

The 31-year-old has little physicality and no pace at all. He can receive the ball with some nice touch, but in Moyes’s system, where the center-forward must run the channels and intimidate the opposition defenders, is it really helpful?

It is reported that Ings will be sold by West Ham during the January transfer window, and personally, I am eager for him to go.

Despite this, Moyes gave the striker positive feedback when he spoke with media following yesterday’s game.

David Moyes makes an absurd assertion about Danny Ings.

Following our 1-1 FA Cup match with Bristol City at the London Stadium yesterday, the Scot spoke to the media.

And as the Independent reported, Moyes said in response to a question about whether he may sell Ings during the January window:

“When Danny entered the game, he was arguably the best player. Instead of talking about anything else, I would discuss his performance.

I have no idea what game Moyes saw the day before!

Don’t get me wrong, but there weren’t really any outstanding performers for us. Let’s face it, though, Ings was especially awful since, throughout the course of the previous year, he appeared in almost every game for West Ham.

I apologize for his wasted opportunity, but I didn’t think the center forward was making enough of an effort!

At the highest level, the 31-year-old is finished, and it is in everyone’s best interests to send him on as quickly as possible.

Danny Ings is terribly mismatched to the system David Moyes wants his squad to play! Surely Moyes can see this!

And I still fully expect the former Aston Villa striker to depart the London Stadium this winter, even in light of the West Ham manager’s remarks from yesterday.
