Before today’s match at Old Trafford, Radu Dragusin, a Romanian, had his work permit concerns resolved, which is a huge help for Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou. Along with the other Spurs players, he was seen staying at the team hotel.

Dragusin, 21, became the Spurs’ second acquisition of the January window after Germany forward Timo Werner joined on loan from RB Leipzig. They will now play their first games against Erik ten Hag’s squad.

The defender will be in the team, according to Tottenham manager Postecoglou, provided he turns in all of the paperwork on time. His presence in Manchester serves as proof that everything has been resolved and he is prepared to start contributing right away.

Ben Davies, however, is out for Spurs due to a hamstring ailment, and Giovani Lo Celso is also out due to a muscular problem. Six players are also back in training for the hosts, including Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Casemiro.

Amad Diallo and Christian Eriksen have both returned from illness, while Antony is also available.

Manchester United, which is now eighth in the league, will be keen to win, but Spurs will be thinking differently because a victory will put them ahead of Arsenal, who are off this weekend.

If Tottenham can win all three games today, they will maintain their ambitions of launching a title push, having won the first match in north London by a score of 2-0.
