Lazio is getting ready for a January transfer window bid from West Ham United for Felipe Anderson.

West Ham is keeping a close eye on Felipe Anderson during the January transfer window, and the Brazilian player may make an unexpected return to London Stadium.

The 30-year-old was transferred by Hammers manager David Moyes to Lazio for about £3 million in the summer of 2021; the agreement reportedly had a 50% sell-on clause.

Anderson has scored 21 goals and provided 24 assists in his roughly three years since returning to Lazio (Transfermarkt).

The forward from South America doesn’t appear to have lost any of his speed and is more like the guy who made such an impression in his West Ham first season.

It appears now that Moyes may be planning to bring him back to the London Stadium.

The Serie A team is reportedly waiting patiently for an offer from the Hammers for the winger this month, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Anderson’s contract with Lazio expires in the summer, and if the Italians decide to trade him this month, they may ask for as much as £17 million.

I don’t think West Ham will buy the 30-year-old again for £17 million this month, much less on a free transfer in the summer!

We must keep in mind that Moyes fired him for a reason—the Scot is an extremely obstinate man!

That being said, I wouldn’t be opposed to Felipe Anderson coming back to West Ham this month—we could really use his help.

Moyes has to add some forward reinforcements because our starting attacking trio is now sidelined due to injuries.

We could certainly do worse than to sign the Brazilian again for a little period of time, but I find it hard to imagine a situation in which Moyes effectively retracts his earlier decision and brings the player back to East London in January.
