Brentford is considering bringing in Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon on loan.

Due to Manchester United’s termination of his loan agreement, the left-back is free to depart Spurs this month.

This month, Brentford has prioritised finding new full-backs due to an injury situation.

Rico Henry had a catastrophic knee injury that has sidelined Thomas Frank, and Aaron Hickey is also out after sustaining a serious hamstring injury in November.

Reguilon is thought to be a good choice for the Bees. In order to cover for Luke Shaw, the 27-year-old signed a loan with United last summer. However, under Erik ten Hag, he only made seven starts before being returned to Spurs.

Despite only naming eight substitutes for Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Manchester United, Ange Postecoglou kept Reguilon out of his team at Old Trafford.

Spurs want to make a big profit off of him before his contract expires in 2025.

Reguilon, who left Real Madrid in 2020 for Spurs in a £32 million move, is not a part of Postecoglou’s plans, he has stated.

Ben Davies is regarded as a competent backup when healthy, but Destiny Udogie has cemented the starting position at left back.

Despite missing the United draw due to a new ailment, Ryan Sessegnon recently made a full recovery from his injury.
