Spurs turn down Al-Nassr’s offer for the 25-year-old defender

One of Tottenham Hotspur’s senior first-team players reportedly had an offer rejected.

Due to chairman Daniel Levy’s decision to support manager Ange Postecoglou during the mid-season transfer window, the London-based team is having a fantastic season.

One of Europe’s busiest teams, the Lilywhites have already signed forward Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig and defender Radu DraguÈ™in from Genoa.

Furthermore, it seems that the club has other transactions in the works besides incomings.

The Sun’s Tom Barclay recently posted that Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team, is now very interested in Emerson Royal.

Though it is believed that Al-Nassr’s first offer was turned down, they are anticipated to come back with a stronger one that might persuade their English competitors to change their minds.

After moving from Barcelona to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2021, Royal, 25, has played in 95 games while at the stadium.

But Pedro Porro of Spain, who is currently perhaps the best right-back in the Premier League, has just emerged, making Royal more of a squad option for Postecoglou.

It remains to be seen if the Brazilian’s departure will facilitate negotiations, but Spurs supporters shouldn’t worry too much about it.
