Conor Gallagher, a midfielder for Chelsea, is much sought after by Tottenham Hotspur this month. However, journalist Dean Jones has highlighted why it would be challenging to close the deal because the England international isn’t interested in leaving Stamford Bridge.

Gallagher is the player that the North London team seems to be primarily targeting in the January transfer window to bolster their midfield, but completing the deal was always going to be difficult. Spurs may make a late move with a few days remaining in the window, but it will undoubtedly be difficult to persuade Mauricio Pochettino to approve a sale.

Ange Postecoglou and his recruitment team obviously wanted to add another body in the middle of the park after acquiring a new attacker and defense earlier in the month. But since they’ve already had an amazing window, it won’t be the end of the world if they can’t locate the proper deal.

Tottenham prioritizes Gallagher.

Gallagher has been designated as Spurs’ top target for the remaining days of the transfer window, according to the Independent. In an advanced role in the middle of the pitch, Postecoglou is hoping to hire a “running midfielder” who can also fill in for James Maddison when he is not available. The primary problem is that Gallagher, a former West Brom loanee who has occasionally led the Blues as captain this season, has been one of Pochettino’s key performers this term.

According to reports, Chelsea may try to sell Gallagher this month to raise money for their chase of a new striker. The English midfielder, who former Chelsea player Frank Lampard referred to as a “big talent,” would be recorded as pure profit if sold, which may have a significant positive financial impact on the west London club. Given that he has been among their top performers this season without a doubt, Pochettino may not be very happy.

As the transfer window draws to a close, it seems less likely that Spurs will sign a midfield player. However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano told that there is still a chance the north London team will sign a new midfield player, particularly if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is sold.

Gallagher has ‘no interest’ in Tottenham, according to Dean Jones

According to Jones, there is less and less probability that Gallagher will move to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The Chelsea midfielder wants to stay at Chelsea this month, the journalist continues, and he has no genuine desire to join Postecoglou’s charges. Jones claimed in an interview with GIVEMESPORT…

“It is evident that the possibilities are decreasing daily. Tottenham is attempting to avoid its previous reputation of entering the transfer market in the final few days and being influenced to make bids that they might have otherwise tried to avoid. In the end, I believe that there is a temptation to sign Conor Gallagher, but I would characterize it as unlikely at this point. Gallagher wants to stay at Chelsea and is not really interested in joining Tottenham, although Chelsea may consider an offer. Next month, they will play in a cup final. He is a constant member of the squad and occasionally serves as captain. Personally, I don’t believe Conor Gallagher is going anywhere.”

Ange Postecoglou connected to a role at Liverpool

The football world was taken aback when Jurgen Klopp said he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. The Australian strategist, who is a supporter of the Merseyside club, Postecoglou, may be among those considered for the position in the summer, according to The Times.

Despite his ties to Liverpool, Italian writer Romano recently revealed  that Postecoglou is really content at Hotspur Way. The transfer specialist asserted that it is premature to speculate on Klopp’s successor, as the Mercedes team is expected to deliberate carefully before making a choice.
