Tottenham has formally acknowledged that their highly-rated young player made a late transfer.

 

Alejo Veliz is a summer signing for Tottenham, and Sevilla, a powerhouse in Spain, is reportedly interested in him and has made a loan offer for him.

 

Things moved swiftly, and soon after, Romano declared that the player was in Spain already for a medical checkup, confirming the claims.

 

Following a successful physical examination, Tottenham has agreed to a straight loan agreement without the need to purchase any options.

 

The player is expected to return to Spurs in the summer after spending the remainder of the campaign at Sevilla.

 

On their official website, the club made the announcement in full. The club released the following statement:

 

“Alejo Veliz has committed to La Liga, signing a one-year loan with Sevilla for the 2023–2024 campaign.

 

Alejo, who came from Rosario Central to join the Club in August 2023, has so far made eight appearances while wearing our colors.

 

In December 2023, the 20-year-old attacker scored his first goal as a senior for the team in a Premier League match against Brighton and Hove Albion.

 

The player was also revealed by Sevilla on social media.

 

 

He leaves the team during this window, making eight players total. The following players have departed the team: Hugo Lloris, Ivan Perisic, Ashley Phillips, Japhet Tanganga, Djed Spence, and Eric Dier. Their departures were either

permanent or temporary.
