Tottenham is getting ready for the arrival of a Barcelona player valued at €70 million.

This season, Tottenham’s style of play under Ange Postecoglou would be perfectly at home at Barcelona.

The Australian has quickly won over the hearts of the White Hart Lane supporters with his fluid, reliable attacking style.

Under Xavi, Barcelona has had trouble reproducing that style of play, and as a result, the coach has essentially tendered his resignation.

Raphinha, an exciting Brazilian winger, is one player who could follow him out the exit door when he leaves the club where he was a renowned midfielder in the summer.

According to Fichajes sources, the North Londoners have already started transfer negotiations with the player’s family. Since the Catalan team is still struggling financially, a deal for the wide winger, who is valued at €70 million, would be appealing.

Raphinha hasn’t always lived up to the hype at Barcelona and hasn’t even remotely justified the big investment.

He hasn’t been nearly the player he was when he terrorized opposing defenses for Leeds United, so maybe the weight of expectation has impeded his progress.

Spurs’ early interest may work to their advantage when it comes to formal negotiations, even though talks are still in the early stages and a deal may not be close to completion until Barcelona chooses their new coach.
