Ashley Phillips is receiving more positive feedback while on loan from Spurs: “More than good enough.”

Ashley Phillips is still impressing everyone, as seen by the numerous accolades the center defender received after Plymouth Argyle defeated Swansea City 1-0 on Saturday.

After breaking into the Blackburn Rovers first team the previous season, Phillips proved to be a mature player for his age when he joined Tottenham in the summer of last year.

Throughout the first half of the season, the center-back was frequently included in Spurs’ matchday squad. However, despite the injuries that Ange Postecoglou’s team suffered at the back, the adolescent was unable to make a senior game for the Lilywhites.

Radu Dragusin arrived through the door at Hotspur Way, and the North London club chose to loan Phillips out to Plymouth last month so the young player could get competitive minutes under his belt.

Since joining the Championship team a few weeks ago, the former Blackburn player has started every game, and his stature is rising with each outing.

The Tottenham player on loan from Plymouth Live gave the player a seven out of ten rating, saying of his performance: “At just eighteen years old, Phillips already has an outstanding physical presence.

He has made four starts for the Pilgrims in a row since joining on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, proving that he is more than capable of playing in the Championship.

Given Phillips’ progress, Tottenham may not need to look for a new center back when the summer transfer window opens up because the 18-year-old seems ready to play in the starting lineup for the Spurs.

In order to give the young player a chance to prove himself at the greatest level, the North London team might be persuaded to loan him to a Premier League team next summer.
