Leeds United booked their place in the fifth round of The FA Cup earlier this week with a 4-1 in over Plymouth Argyle, and Willy Gnonto was on hand to score his second goal in the last two games.

Gnonto, 20, scored the only goal of the game last Friday as Leeds beat Bristol City to win 1-0 at Ashton Gate. He got the scoring underway at Home Park, slamming home a right-footed shot from 20 yards.

Only his third goal of the season, but a goal of real quality and one that showed he is quickly winning a level of confidence back – not only in himself, but from Daniel Farke. It is going to be a real asset for us.

With Dan James injured and a doubt for Saturday’s clash against Rotherham, you would imagine the Italy star gets the nod again – after two goals in two. The pocket-sized winger posted on Instagram.

Destiny Udogie reacts as Willy Gnonto scores for Leeds again

Gnonto is reminding all what he is capable of. The former Inter and Zurich star impressed in the Premier League last season. But after a tumultuous summer, he has struggled to produce his best form for us.

Fans have forgotten just how exciting he was when he first broke in at Leeds – whether it be scoring against Manchester United, a Paolo Di Canio-type scissor-kick goal or his display against Aston Villa.

Perhaps, with the January window over and Gnonto getting a run in the team, he now has a clear mind in which to play football. £21m Tottenham man Destiny Udogie and Mateo Joseph praised Gnonto.
