Bruno Guimaraes, a star for Newcastle who recently signed a new contract with the Magpies, is still being linked to Barcelona.
The Brazilian decided to stay at Newcastle despite a lot of summertime rumors, signing an extension in October that will expire in 2028.
However, it hasn’t stopped Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness) from tying him to a transfer to the dominant team in La Liga.
According to the report, Barcelona’really likes’ him, but it will be difficult to sign him because of the £100 million release clause in his current contract with the Tyneside team.
It continues by saying that the Spanish team will continue to pursue him and will include a few of their own players in the transaction.

Struggling financially, Barcelona believes that the only way to acquire the outstanding midfield player is through a player plus cash deal.
Since his arrival in 2022, Bruno Guimaraes has been an incredible asset to the Newcastle midfield.
He has made 78 appearances for the Magpies, contributing 8 assists and 11 goals. He was a key member of Newcastle’s comeback that saw them win the Champions League the previous year.
