Alejo Veliz, a striker for Tottenham Hotspur, is rumoured to be returning to Argentina to sign a summer loan with River Plate.

It is anticipated that Spurs will be involved in the January transfer window. As usual, all eyes will be on the newcomers, but a few players may also depart the team.A few teams are interested in signing Tottenham youngster Veliz on a loan basis.

Alejo Veliz of Tottenham is being pursued by River Plate for a loan.

Alejo Veliz cost £13 million when he was acquired by Tottenham from Argentine team Rosario Central in the summer (BBC).

The 20-year-old has always been thought of as a future star. After signing, Alasdair Gold disclosed that Ange Postecoglou had made it plain he wouldn’t be playing any minutes in the first half of the season.

Veliz, however, has only made six Premier League appearances for Tottenham. According to reports, he is unhappy with his lack of playing time and would prefer to go on loan the following month.

According to journalist Damian Rancez, Veliz “drives everyone crazy” in Argentina, and River Plate wants to sign him on loan during the January transfer window.

“The nine that drives everyone crazy and wants to bring River from England is Velliz,” he said to El Crack Deportivo.

“They are going to try a Tottenham loan, where he wants to play to be in the Argentina team, even though they know it’s complicated.”

Changing loans will benefit Veliz

Alejo Veliz is an extremely talented player.

The Argentinean, known as “dynamite,” is only 20 years old.He possesses the ability to rise to the top in the next few years due to his immense talent. He must, however, play games.

It’s unlikely that Veliz will play a big role for Tottenham until the end of the campaign. That is by no means ideal. Thus it makes perfect sense to move to a loan next month.

Though we believe Veliz would do better at a European club where the competition is much higher, a return to Argentina may be appealing to him. It is reported that Serie A team Bologna is interested.
