Nice center-back Jean-Clair Todibo is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, and Fabrizio Romano has disclosed as much on his YouTube channel.
Todibo is one of Tottenham’s main defensive targets in the January transfer window, according to numerous reports over the past few weeks (Sky Sports).
Ben Davies and Cristian Romero make up Tottenham’s current central defensive duo. The Welshman is filling in for Micky van de Ven, who sustained a hamstring injury against Chelsea last month.
Romano said on social media yesterday that Spurs and Nice have begun negotiations about a possible trade for the French international.
Spurs want to complete the Todibo agreement.
Now, on his YouTube channel, Romano has provided a more thorough explanation of Tottenham’s pursuit of the defender, stating that the Premier League team is in talks with Nice as well as the player’s camp.
According to him, the North Londoners do not want to negotiate with Nice for a whole month; they want the transaction to be completed “fast.”
Romano went on to say that “nothing is decided” as of yet and that Manchester United and other teams are still in the running for the 23-year-old.
