There are finally some developments in Juventus’ pursuit of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports from Italy.

As of right now, the parties are “closer,” and “this time we could be there,” according to Il Bianconero.

Speaking for Højbjerg personally, it has been reported that due to his limited playing time under Ange Postecoglou this season, he is “considering” a transfer.

Tottenham is reportedly “open” to the concept of a loan but would prefer to work out a deal that requires a purchase commitment.

The front-runners for Højbjerg are Napoli and Juventus, and it looks like the Blue side doesn’t want to be compelled to buy the player. Consequently, the Bianconeri are the ones who “remain alive.”

It is evident that Massimiliano Allegri, the manager of Il Bianconero state Old Lady, prefers Højbjerg over Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City, thus the Tottenham player should be the club’s main emphasis.

The talks between the two clubs will now determine whether or not the trade goes through, and Juventus has been growing more optimistic the more open Spurs are to the idea.
