Joe Rodon has garnered a lot of praise for his strong performance during Leeds United’s decisive victory over Ipswich Town, a rival Premier League challenger, on Saturday.

Rodon’s career is now getting back on track at Elland Road following three frustrating years at Tottenham, where he was unable to establish himself in the starting lineup under coaches like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

Spurs may ask as much as £20 million for the defender next summer, according to certain reports (TEAMtalk), and the Welsh international’s reputation is only becoming stronger while he plays in Yorkshire.

Given that Daniel Farke’s team appeared to be slipping away from automatic promotion slots if they lost at home, Leeds had a pressing need to defeat Ipswich in their Championship match on Saturday.

Instead, they put on a show, crushing the Tractor Boys 4-0 to close the gap on their rivals to just seven points.

Rodon gives Leeds’ performance high marks.

One of the show’s highlights was Rodon, the center back who received a lot of appreciation for keeping Leeds’ clean sheet against an Ipswich team that has scored freely this year.

It’s not been Ipswich’s day today, according to former striker Alex Mathie, who spoke to the BBC Sport website. For Leeds, Joe Rodon has been excellent at the back. He appears to be a defender in the Premier League.

The Spurs player received an 8 out of 10 from Yorkshire Evening Post, which described his performance as “solid as you like.” handled the ball proficiently and displayed aggression when necessary.
