During the January transfer window, one West Ham United player in particular might be planning to depart the team.

In order to sustain our strong start to the season in the second half of the campaign, West Ham manager David Moyes will need to make a number of additions during the next January transfer window.

To balance the books, though, the Hammers manager will likely need to let go of one or two players from the London Stadium as well.

Sevilla is working extremely hard to sign Pablo Fornals during the January transfer window, according to Estadio Deportivo.

Just one month ago, the 27-year-old signed a new one-year contract extension with West Ham (The Athletic).

Fornals has actually played poorly for the Hammers this season, yet he has been connected to a transfer to Barcelona.

And it may now be the end of his stay at the club.

Fornals connected to West Ham departure in January

Fornals is reportedly a winter transfer target for Sevilla, according to Estadio Deportivo.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the Spaniard quit the team in January because he hasn’t made much of an impact this year.

Pablo Fornals has only played in 237 minutes of Premier League action so far this season under Moyes (Transfermarkt).

Over the previous twelve months or so, the former Villarreal player has severely declined. It’s arguable whether he applied himself during training or if his lack of playing time had a negative impact on him.

There is no doubt in my mind that the 27-year-old will leave West Ham if they receive a competitive offer for him in January.
