Eric Dier will be allowed to leave Tottenham Hotspur in January on a free transfer.

We shared an article from The Athletic last week stating that Tottenham is reportedly considering bids for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Dier before January.

The Danish center defender is more likely to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season, according to the site, even though his preference is to join Juventus next month.

Spurs oppose paying Eric Dier a transfer fee.

After Ange Postecoglou made it apparent that the 29-year-old is not in his plans, Football Insider now claims that Tottenham has urged Dier to find a new club and decided to allow him leave on a free transfer.

Hugo Lloris and Hojbjerg, according to the site, have also been asked to look for other teams, and Spurs are prepared to let the Frenchman go without charging a transfer fee.According to the report, all three players have now told their agents to look for other teams.

Tottenham appears to be prioritizing reducing their salary expenditure in order to free up funds for future hires. Rather than waiting until Dier’s contract expires in the summer, that makes sense.

Over the next weeks, there will probably be a lot of interest in the 29-year-old’s services if he is available on a free transfer.
