Journalist Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports has disclosed that Radu Dragusin will be joining Tottenham this morning after an agreement was made with Genoa.

It hasn’t been simple for Spurs to sign the Romanian international, despite their best efforts over the past week. But it appears that the agreement has been reached, and he will shortly be traveling to Tottenham.

Tottenham has always prioritized signing a new center back throughout this transfer window.

Apart from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero in center defense, Spurs don’t really have a player that Ange Postecoglou believes in. Ben Davies and Emerson Royal have performed admirably, but they don’t feel entirely at ease in that role.

There has always been a need for a new center-half, and last week we found out that Tottenham’s primary target is Radu Dragusin. Spurs even had an offer for the Romanian turned down by Genoa.

Plettenberg claims that Tottenham has finally finalized the sale for £21.5 million, despite more talks.

“Excl. News #Dragusin: Tottenham and Genua have reached a full agreement about a transfer in winter this morning!” tweeted the Sky Sports journalist. #THFC

€25 million (£21.5 million) in transfer fees and additional costs. Agreement valid until 2029.

Bayern needs to act now if they hope to have a chance. Bayern has yet to make a formal offer.

Significant news for Tottenham

Tottenham seems to be taking business seriously.

Timo Werner, who would fit well into Postecoglou’s style, is about to join the North Londoners on loan from RB Leipzig, which is thrilling in and of itself.

Spurs now appear to have taken care of their most pressing need, which is a new center back. Radu Dragusin is an incredible talent who appears to be headed to North London right now.

Tottenham supporters have every reason to be thrilled about this significant news as the second half of the season approaches.
