Both Ben Davies and Giovani Lo Celso have suffered hamstring problems in the new year, adding to Tottenham’s injury troubles.

Paul O Keefe revealed yesterday that the two had developed chronic hamstring problems. A follow-up from a football writer based in Tottenham (@SecretPrem) stated that the extent of the damage is yet unknown.

Alasdair Gold has confirmed that the Welsh defender will be out for a considerable amount of time after providing the most recent information on his injuries (via Football London).

He confirmed the ailments to the aforementioned pair and added that Davies will miss four to six weeks due to a hamstring injury while reporting on the behind-the-scenes events at the club that led to the Dragusin trade.

Given how effective he has been since replacing Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies’ departure will undoubtedly be felt by Ange, but Radu Dragusin’s presence gives the manager hope by providing him with additional defensive protection.

Due to Dier’s impending transfer to Bayern Munich, Spurs may still need to add a defender, leaving them short-staffed in case of injuries.
