Ange Postecoglou has provided a Tottenham Hotspur team news update ahead of Sunday afternoon’s match against Manchester United during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.
Tottenham head to Old Trafford looking to further bolster their hopes of a top-four finish in the Premier League come the end of the season and are currently just a point behind North London rivals Arsenal.
It has been an unusually busy start to the winter transfer window for Tottenham with two arrivals to date in Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin while Djed Spence and Eric Dier became the latest departures having joined Genoa and Bayern Munich on loan respectively.

Tottenham team news vs Manchester United
Postecoglou confirmed that Ben Davies, Giovani Lo Celso and Dane Scarlett will all miss the Man United Clash, having picked up injuries against Burnley in the FA Cup last time out.
Postecoglou said (Tottenham): “Ben has got a hamstring injury so it’ll probably be around four or five weeks (out for him).
“Gio is similar but it is a little bit more complicated. We’re still trying to get to the bottom of it. I think he is having another assessment on Monday but he will miss this game (United clash).
“Dane Scarlett also picked up a knock in training so he will miss out this weekend as well.”
Tottenham defender Cristian Romero is listed among the ‘long-term absentees’ still despite rumours of a return this weekend.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Erik ten Hag’s side.
