Following hamstring injuries, Tottenham’s first-choice center backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have resumed full training ahead of the team’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday.

Van de Ven was an unused replacement for the FA Cup win over Burnley last Friday, and is likely to be fit enough to play, while Romero rejoined the group this week, with Postecoglou saying a start at Old Trafford “may be a bit quick” for the Argentine.

His other choices to accompany van de Ven are Emerson Royal and recent recruit Radu Dragusin, who will join the team if he is granted a work permit in a timely manner.

fresh signee Heung-min Son, the team’s captain, is currently playing for South Korea at the Asian Cup. Timo Werner is anticipated to be in the squad and might start on the left of the front three.

The most recent Spurs players to suffer from muscle ailments are Ben Davies (hamstring) and Giovani Lo Celso, who may be out for up to a month. Dane Scarlett is also not available due to a hamstring issue.

In addition to James Maddison (ankle), Manor Solomon, Ivan Perisic, and Alejo Veliz (all knee), Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr are out due to the African Cup of Nations.

Tottenham’s expected lineup (4-3-3) was as follows: Vicario; Bentancur, Skipp, Kulusevski; Johnson, Werner, Richarlison; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, and Udogie.

Scarlett, Lo Celso, Maddison, Solomon, Perisic, Veliz, and Davies are among the injured.

Son (Asian Cup), Bissouma, and Sarr (both AFCON) are unavailable.
