As Thierry Henry accepts the FIFA award on Lionel Messi’s behalf, he makes fun of Tottenham.
On Monday night, January 15, Thierry Henry fired a jab at Tottenham by accepting Lionel Messi’s Fifa Best Men’s Player award on the Argentinean’s behalf.
Following his acceptance of the trophy on behalf of the Inter Miami player who was not present in London, the Frenchman turned to co-host and Spurs supporter Reshmin Chowdhury.
The world cup winner asked, “You’re a Tottenham fan right?” to which Mrs. Chowdhury moaned in agreement.
“You don’t usually get your hands on a trophy, so I’ll take this one,” Henry replied, garnering applause and laughs from the crowd.
