After being called back from Augsburg, Tottenham Hotspur is scheduled to send Japhet Tanganga on loan to Millwall this month. This move could have an immediate impact on a Leeds United player’s future.

Due to a knee injury, Tanganga, 24, did not play a minute during his first half of the 2023–24 season while on loan at Augsburg in Germany. Then, when fit once more, he lost his position and returned.

After being brought back by Tottenham, he was sent on loan at Millwall in the Championship until the conclusion of the current campaign in an attempt to restart his career. Given his enormous potential, this is a tremendous coup for Millwall.

Charlie Cresswell could potentially stay at Leeds, but it also sees Millwall acquire the defender they so desperately coveted. Recently, Daniel Farke talked about how his attitude has been lacking.

After Pascal Struijk and Liam Cooper sustained injuries, it was anticipated that Cresswell would participate. However, he was not selected, therefore a transfer is now likely. Offers have been made, but the Whites have not yet accepted them.

Charlie Cresswell’s future at Leeds could be affected by Tottenham’s withdrawal.

Among other teams, Millwall was rumored to have placed a bid for Cresswell. It is anticipated that £5 million will be needed to acquire the England U21 center defender. Millwall, displaying greater curiosity than most.

Not shocking, since he played brilliantly for the Lions on loan the previous season, even managing to score five goals under the now-departed boss Gary Rowett. Tanganga, though, has now addressed Millwall’s need for a defender.

Thus, it would seem that Tottenham’s choice to loan Tanganga to Millwall for the remainder of 23–24 is a signal to both Cresswell and us that he is getting closer to staying rather than moving to Leeds for the next two weeks.
