Move insider allegations With 68 goals and 21 assists, Tottenham has emerged as the “frontrunners” to sign a Premier League star.

Although there is competition from other teams, Spurs have emerged as one of the “frontrunners” to sign Premier League striker Ivan Toney.

Transfer insider Dean Jones, who has verified Tottenham’s interest in Brentford’s Ivan Toney, claims that.

He said in an interview with GiveMeSports:

“The first thing to check on Toney is if he truly signs a new deal or not. It has been the subject of much discussion.

However, nothing is set up for him to really accomplish it as of yet. The new contract’s release clause, which would need to be activated in the summer for someone to sign him, was then the subject of much discussion. With that out of the way for now, it certainly appears more likely that Toney will be reachable in the summer.

“I believe that several clubs are seriously considering Toney; I believe that the two main ones are Arsenal and Chelsea. Tottenham and even Manchester United are keeping an eye on things in the background in case things turn out to their advantage.

The report indicates that several English premier league teams are interested in the striker, with London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal emerging as front-runners with Tottenham.

Ivan Toney’s contract with Brentford expires in the summer of next year, having fewer than eighteen months left on it.

He moved to The Bees from Peterborough in 2020, and in 123 games for them, he has assisted 21 goals and scored 68 goals in all competitions.

He scored 20 goals in 33 league games the previous season, good for third place in the division behind only Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.

And he had the opportunity to score even more, but sadly, his season was cut short. The Football Association (FA) banned him from the game for eight months after he repeatedly broke their player betting regulations.

The player himself recently stated that he would like to make a big move to a premier league team. By way of Fabrizio Romano, Toney said:

“It’s no secret that I’d love to play for a premier team and be among the best in the league.”

Journalist Ryan Taylor recently stated that Tottenham should not be counted out of the contest, even if Arsenal and Spurs are eager to sign him.

Harry Kane left the team for Bayern Munich in August, and Spurs are still looking for a straight successor.

Additionally, the team believes that Ivan Toney is a strong goal scorer who might replace Kane.
