Ajax Under-21 talent Stanis Idumbo Muzambo is being linked to Tottenham Hotspur, suggesting that the club is not slowing down when it comes to building for the future, even though the Lilywhites are primarily focused on recruiting for the here and now in January.

Spurs’ top priority for the upcoming month is to sign a new centre defender (Telegraph), with Ange Postecoglou eager to step in and cover for Micky van de Ven in order to avoid a scenario similar to the one he finds himself in at the moment.

Spurs are not opposed to the concept of recruiting young players with an eye towards the future, though, as we seen throughout the summer. That is demonstrated by the arrival of stars like Ashley Phillips and Alejo Veliz this summer.

Spurs intend to use Idumbo Muzambo.

It is also not surprising that one of the most promising young players in the Netherlands, Stanis Idumbo Muzambo, has been connected to the Lilywhites, as Spurs are known to be eager to bring more originality to their roster.

The offensive midfielder may be plucked by Spurs in January, according to a rumour from DH, with the intention of integrating him into the first team group before determining his worth in the summer. He would then have to decide whether to go out on loan or compete for a spot in the starting lineup.

The present deal between Ajax and Idumbo Muzambo ends in the summer, and Tottenham is prepared to take advantage of this. Spurs appear to be a “concrete avenue” that the player can pursue, with a “project of four years” in store for him.

AS Monaco, a team in Ligue 1, is reportedly circling the player as well and is “ready to sign him.”

I think it’s great that we are evaluating such youthful potential and building a team for the future while also making necessary improvements to the current team. It would be a wise investment if we could obtain Idumbo Muzambo at a reasonable cost.
