Chris Sutton has identified Guglielmo Vicario as one of the Premier League’s top players thus far this year.
Sutton believes that Tottenham has hit the mark in a lot of areas this summer while talking about some of their summer acquisitions on the It’s All Kicking Off Podcast.
Vicario is among the top performers in the Premier League this season, according to Sutton, who was obviously thrilled with the additions of Micky van de Ven and James Maddison.

Vicario is among the greatest.
Sutton gave his assessment of the £17 million Italian and his most recent performances.
“Those are two really good pieces of business—we saw the summer recruitment, Vicario is arguably one of the players of the season so far, and Van de Ven, I believe, is returning to fitness as well,” Sutton remarked.
Excellent goalkeepers have to be exceptionally unique in order to be discussed when it comes to Player of the Year, and Vicario certainly qualifies.
Like a duck to water, the Italian has adapted well to life in England. For Tottenham, he has excelled in every capacity.
Of course, the majority of how well a modern goalie performs with the ball at his feet gets assessed, but one of Vicario’s greatest assets is undoubtedly his ability to stop shots.
In fact, Vicario appears to understand that keeping the ball out of the back of the net is his primary responsibility and that he excels at it, in contrast to other goalkeepers of this era.
Vicario is a confident and composed player, and Tottenham supporters will be happy that they have a goalkeeper they can rely on in crucial games after seeing Hugo Lloris make several mistakes in the last two years.
