Ivan Perisic, a winger for Tottenham, has been updated on his future by Fabrizio Romano.

Perisic seems to have already played his last game for Spurs, and there are a lot of signs that he might be heading back to his native Croatia.

Hajduk Split of Croatia has indicated a strong desire to recruit Perisic, and it is said that talks are currently taking place between the two teams.

Hajduk Split’s sporting director, Mindaugas Nikoličius, revealed last week that Tottenham and the player are still in communication.

Romano had before said that Perisic is the primary target for the Croatian club, who are keen to sign him.

And he has just disclosed the most recent information. The deal is “advancing well,” according to the transfer specialist, and is currently in the “final stages.”

He claims that Tottenham is willing to accept the loan deal, and Perisic is excited about the move.

He gave the following X update:

“EXCLUSIVE: Ivan Perisić’s return to Hajduk Split is nearing its conclusion and is progressing nicely! Perisić is eager to come back and create history with the team. Recognize that Tottenham is willing to accept a loan move through the end of the current campaign.

The serious ACL injury that has disabled the 34-year-old winger is expected to keep him out until April.

Under Antonio Conte, Perisic left Inter Milan for Tottenham last summer on a free transfer.

Perisic has played in 50 games for Spurs in all competitions, scoring one goal and dishing out fourteen assists.
