Tottenham Hotspur has already added two players this month, but they still have time and want to add more players.

Early in the January transfer window, Tottenham acquired Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin; they are still connected to a number of players.

Next month, Spurs will undoubtedly need to bolster their midfield, and Conor Gallagher, the star player for Chelsea, appears to still be on their radar.

Journalist Ben Jacobs stated last week on Rio Ferdinand Presents FIVE that the Blues intend to sell the 23-year-old in the event that the suitable offer is made.

According to The Independent, Tottenham intends to move forward in their chase of Gallagher, whom Chelsea is reportedly willing to sell for a sum of £50 million.

Gallagher doesn’t appear eager to relocate, and reports suggest that Mauricio Pochettino is unwilling to let him go in the middle of the season.

Dean Jones has now offered an update regarding the state play involving Tottenham and Gallagher in a post on GiveMeSport.

Tottenham needs to “try out” Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher is in the final 18 months of his contract, therefore Jones thinks Tottenham needs to “test the water” to see whether they have a real chance of signing him.

The transfer insider adds that, given how important the midfield player is to Chelsea, Spurs are “surprised” that rumors over his future have been permitted to persist.

Jones stated, “Tottenham needs to test the waters first to determine whether it’s even worth making a bid.”

“Unless Tottenham realizes that Chelsea is willing to let him go, I don’t think they will submit a bid.”

“We’re approaching the end of the transfer window, and this was always the time when Tottenham would discover how serious Chelsea was about selling.”

Tottenham is taken aback by how long this one has lasted. They assumed he would be out of reach by now, having signed a contract.

However, it hasn’t occurred, and as a result, I believe there is a greater likelihood that they will go ahead and submit a bid for Gallagher.

“However, we must realize that if that bid is accepted, it indicates that intermediaries have tested it to determine whether he is attainable.”

Clearly a “outstanding” player of the greatest caliber, Gallagher still has his entire career ahead of him at the age of 23.

Although it doesn’t appear that anyone at Chelsea wants him gone, the club’s management appears open to selling.

We’ll see in the upcoming weeks what transpires. Though you never know, this seems more like the kind of thing that might happen in the summer.
