“Beyond my head”: The manager wants to retain the player and understands he cannot halt Tottenham’s negotiations for him.

Ronny Deila is currently impeding Tottenham’s efforts to “find an agreement” for Club Brugge’s Antonio Nusa, a young player, this month.

Journalist Pieter-Jan Calcoen, who covers the player now and the current state of Tottenham’s efforts to sign him, claims as much.

The young player, who is among Europe’s rising talents, has shown intriguing qualities in the Premier League since turning down a Chelsea transfer with the help of his advisors this past summer.

Tottenham has moved forward this month, as it was announced that they were investigating the possibility of purchasing the 18-year-old this month and loaning him to Brugge until the end of the campaign.

The player allegedly wants to stay where he is and get regular playing time to further his development, so it is a scenario that would work for both parties.

Despite Tottenham’s intention to “find an agreement this winter,” Calcoen maintains that the transfer will only happen after the end of the current campaign, with a loan returning to Brugge in the interim.

Deila maintains that there is no indication that Nusa would go before that, and she thinks that would be the deal on the table as well.

“Nusa is doing well,” he said, according to Het Niuewsblad.

And in the upcoming days, it will be interesting to observe whether anything changes regarding him. Once more, though, these events are taking place above my head.

“I believe that he should remain here for an additional six months since it will be crucial for his personal growth. That’s what we want, but he also wants that.

So, I don’t think he’s going anywhere this winter. Next summer, he’ll most likely join a new team. However, he typically remains into June.
