“From what I understand,” a journalist claims that “drama” is about to occur in Newcastle following the Al-Rumayyan meeting.

Newcastle United could be poised for some last-minute transfer drama after Yasir Al-Rumayyan’s recent meeting with the Magpies.

Eddie Howe’s success at Newcastle has been greatly attributed to the chairman of the Toon, and in 2021 the PIF governer was a major role in Saudi Arabia’s attempt to acquire the Premier League team.

Newcastle hasn’t made any significant movements in the market this January, however FFP restrictions have restricted their expenditure. However, this could soon be changing.

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United in the Premier League

According to the Daily Telegraph’s Luke Edwards, there could be a flurry of action in the transfer market at Newcastle after Al-Rumayyan’s meeting with the Premier League side in recent days.

According to Edwards, Yasir Al-Rumayyan has been in the UK for the past few days and has addressed the board of Newcastle. Will they approve a high-profile move?

The funds would come from the national investment fund of Saudi Arabia, although whatever Newcastle does at this time will not count against their summer budget. As deadline day approaches, I anticipate that Newcastle will be the team to provide us with the most excitement and drama.

This January’s Premier League match between Newcastle United and Manchester City could greatly benefit from Yasir Al-Rumayyan. Yasir Al-Rumayyan

There is only so much Al-Rumayyan can accomplish for Newcastle in the last hours of the January transfer window, even with the financial support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

But that doesn’t mean the Saudi official is worthless; if the Toon can relax their FFP regulations, Al-Rumayyan might be a huge help to Newcastle.

Newcastle will be able to finally do some business this month with the departure of an exiting player, and they will want to bring in a top-tier player to help them qualify for Europe.

And Al-Rumayyan can assist with that, as the PIF leader appears eager to lend a hand at Newcastle and contribute money that will benefit the Toon in the marketplace.
