Tottenham star “destined” for Brighton because Ansu Fati isn’t trusted by the Seagulls

Ansu Fati’s career has taken a severe hit when he suffered a knee injury while playing for FC Barcelona.

Ansu’s progress was halted when he burst into the scene and broke multiple records for the Catalan giants. He has made every effort to return to his prior high level, but he has never truly succeeded in doing so.

At the beginning of the 2023–24 season, a loan move to Brighton & Hove Albion was arranged. The idea was that, without the scrutiny of playing for Barcelona, the player would start to excel in front of goal once more.

According to WhoScored, he had four goals and an assist in his first 13 games for the team, which was a respectable return. However, Lady Luck would mercilessly reappear and ruin the 21-year-old’s season.

ESPN first revealed in December that Roberto De Zerbi, the manager of Brighton, has acknowledged that Ansu will miss three months of activity due to a hamstring injury.

The Seagulls don’t have much time left in the current transfer window to make any acquisitions, but Corriere dello Sport (via Fichajes) has reported that Brighton may try to sign Bryan Gil of Tottenham to replace Ansu in the event that they aren’t sold on the Barcelona star.

Gil is “destined” for the south coast team, according to the outlet.
