According to Il Bianconero, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur are moving “closer” to finalizing a deal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s transfer.

The past few weeks have seen a lot of reports that Spurs are considering bids for Hojbjerg (Football Insider), who is reportedly wanted by both Ajax and Juventus (The Athletic).

Gianluca Di Marzio said last week that Spurs had softened their stance on the Dane and were now willing to loan him out next month—so long as there was a buyout clause included. This seemed like a significant shift.

Juventus is moving closer to signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Il Bianconero has already confirmed this, adding that it is now possible to obtain a loan with a purchase obligation.

According to the source, Spurs and Juventus are now moving “closer” in their Hojbjerg negotiations, with the added possibility that “this time we could be there.”

According to the report, Massimiliano Allegri has informed the Bianconeri hierarchy that the 28-year-old from Tottenham is his first option over Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City. For this reason, the Old Lady are now concentrating on him.

The likelihood of Hojbjerg leaving Spurs in January has increased considerably, in my opinion, now that Conor Gallagher appears to be back in the window. The North London team would want to make room in the squad for the 23-year-old by moving on the former Saints star.
