The transfer of Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon to Premier League opponent Brentford is almost complete.

In January, Manchester United terminated his loan agreement and returned him to Spurs, who intended to loan him out once more.

Though Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma were previously connected to him, Brentford seems to be the front-runner.

And now, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who has given the deal his signature “here we go,” the move is almost finished.

According to his update, the two clubs verbally agreed, and the trade was approved. This is only a lending arrangement; there is no buyout clause. Prior to the signing announcement, Wednesday is the medical appointment.

He gave the following X update:

“All right, Sergio Reguilón to Brentford! After verbal agreement between clubs, the final green light has finally been given.Since Sergio will return to Tottenham at the end of the season, the loan move has NO buyout option.Wednesday’s medical examinations.Verified exclusive story.

After Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier, he leaves the club the latest this window. Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil are reportedly top targets for the Spurs, who are reportedly open to hearing offers for them.

Spurs have already signed two, demonstrating their busyness during the transfer window. They may also seek a midfield player, but only once they have resolved the departures.
